Default Fishing on board Stream Weaver 4/20

What a great day on the ocean and very educational. Fished with one of the best captains on the east coast and was fortunate enough to be there at the right time. We went to 800ft of water first off for some snowy groupers and did just that. Had our limit in about 1 hour. Had a couple close to 40 and some nice teenagers. Deep dropping is not for the faint of heart and you have to have some pretty sensitive fingers to work the reel. Managed to move around for about 3 hours with kite in the air and missing a couple tuna on the kite we made our way back to an area that we had seen some tuna earlier. They were there and hungry. We spent the last 3 hours of the day with a constant fish on the rod. Caught 16 blackfin, 1 yellow, and 1 big eye. We left them biting to get back to the beach by 12. Great time with Capt. Mike King and Capt Timmy. All of you billfishers know them as the reigning NC Governors Cup champ and Mike has the NC state record Blue Marlin. Great time in Carolina Beach, and cannot wait to join them in Hatteras this summer for some billfish action.

Hey, E, wasn't that a warsaw, and not a snowy you caught on the spinning rod with the jig? See you again soon!
