The Last couple of weeks my clients have had some good Red fishing on the Flats and ICW but its been tuff Sight fishing with all the Wind we have been dealing with.Spin Anglers are doing well with a 1/2 a blue crab or cut fresh mullet fish on the bottom and some good Top water action when the winds not Blowing!! We just had our really first Tailing tides last week but the wind and cool water temps didn't make for Good Condition but I have heard of some fish being caught and a lot of being seen in the grass GET READY Tailing Tide Season is Here!!
The Speckle Trout bite has pick up with the fish moving out of their Deep wintering homes and moving into the Harbor,Rivers, Inlets, and Beaches. Some of the largest Trout of the year will be caught these next few months with the spawning season ahead.Top Water action will will be good at first light with Zara spooks and Mirro lure Top Pups.DOA Shrimps free line or fish under a Canjun Thunder Float will produce good action as well.Menhadens are here and make great baits for Big Trout when fish around structure and can be turn on by a little live Chumming this how I catch my Biggest Trouts of the year.Last year I won the Trident Tour with a 7lb 8oz 26inch fish caught by a Client Tim Sharp on live Menhaden.we land 5 fish over 4llbs that day.All fish were Release included The Big fish was weight in at Tolers Cove and Release at the Dock.
Warmer Air/Water temps are on the rise so we should start to see some Bull Reds,Cobia,Spanish Mackerel,Bonito, and a variety of Sharks moving in for the Summer months.
