If you like fishing for bonefish, you will like Season 2 of Buccaneers and Bones.
If you like picturesque flats and turquoise tropical seas, you will like the upcoming season.
If you like shots at tailing fish, you will be pleased.
In Season 2, the original crew from Pirates of the Flats is together once again: Tom Brokaw, Michael Keaton, Tom McGuane, Lefty Kreh, Yvon Chouinard, and Bill Klyn. Plus, this year they have been joined by Flip Pallot and Liam Neeson, who hold their own.
Season 2 takes place at the historic Deep Water Cay Club, the gateway to hundreds of square miles of scenic, bonefish-filled flats. The scenery is unbelievable, and the fishing fantastic.
It’s a Wrap: Filming Completed in The Bahamas for the 2012 season of Buccaneers and Bones
Thanks to Outdoor Channel and Orion Multimedia, and sponsors Patagonia, Hell’s Bay Boatworks, and Orvis, we can all look forward to a third season of Buccaneers and Bones.
Earlier this summer, the Buccaneers gathered again to swap fishing stories and catch bonefish, this time at Deep Water Cay in The Bahamas. After a week of filming, the Orion Multimedia crew once again had hundreds of hours of footage, the Buccaneers had all caught plenty of fish, the weather had cooperated, and many wondered if Season Three might be the best one yet.
The cast was back to the original swashbucklers – Tom Brokaw, Michael Keaton, Lefty Kreh, Yvon Chouinard, and Bill Klyn. All but Tom McGuane were present and accounted for. The crew had a lot of fun with a Tom McGuane cutout (see photo below), but the stand-in couldn’t match Tom’s quick wit.
The hundreds of hours of footage is now being cataloged at Orion Multimedia, with the first episodes scheduled to air in early January 2012. Every few weeks between now and the first episode air date, we’ll share some photos and accounts from the week of filming. And look for a video trailer or two in the fall.
